Mr. Barrick Smart, President, Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Smart attended Arizona State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1974. Entering the securities business in 1976, Mr. Smart is the founder and President of Smart Investments Advisory Inc. and a Branch Manager with Western International Securities. Prior to joining WIS and Smart Investments Advisory, Mr. Smart was a Senior Vice-President and Branch Manager for The Seidler Companies, Inc., a NYSE Member Firm. Prior to Seidler, Mr. Smart was President of and a Branch Manager with the FINRA member firm of Hagerty Stewart and Associates, Inc., a Broker/Dealer and RIA. A resident of the mountain community of Lake Arrowhead, he is an officer of the local chapter of Rotary International, and avid community booster through numerous organizations. He enjoys water and snow sports, ocean sailing and rebuilding classic American muscle cars.
Mr. Roy “Ed” Bennett,
Financial Advisor
Mr. Bennett is a Registered Investment Advisor with Smart Investments and a Financial Advisor with Western International Securities. He is also licensed to offer Insurance products. His investment practice is to help clients navigate through the complexities of building and protecting their nest eggs through traditional investments as well as Annuities. He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Business. Prior to joining Smart Investments, Mr. Bennett was a financial advisor with The Seidler Companies Inc., a New York Stock Exchange Member Firm. He is part of the President’s Club and is a US Army Veteran. His hobbies include Ping Pong and Off-road Motorcycle riding.
Ms. Ali Arciniega,
Investment Advisor Representative
Ms. Arciniega is an Investment Advisor Representative as well as the Corporate Secretary for Smart Investments Advisory Incorporated. She is a licensed Financial Advisor with Western International Securities. Mrs. Arciniega began her career in the investment business in 2005 with The Seidler Companies Incorporated, a NYSE member firm. In 2006, she joined Smart Investments Advisory Inc. as an Administrative Assistant, going on to earn her Series 7 General Securities Representative license and her Series 66 Investment Advisor Representative license in 2008. Mrs. Arciniega is a resident of our local mountains and enjoys the outdoors with hobbies that include skiing, hiking, and water sports.
Ms. Bree Espinoza,
Executive Assistant
Ms. Bree Espinoza is the Executive Assistant for Smart Investments. She is our newest addition to the team and comes with 15 years of experience in office management. She is currently studying for her SIE exam and when Ms. Espinoza is not in the office, she loves spending time with her two children and is a local published photographer.
